Lafayette is busily preparing for their annual Tippecanoe 4-H County Fair which will take place July 21-28 at the Tippecanoe Fairgrounds! Since 1930, this fair has been delighting participants and spectators, young and old alike! The fair launches bright and early July 21 with events for rabbits, pocket animals and vivariums, llamas, swine, horses and ponies, and more.
July 23 continues with exciting sheep shows, the selection of the Sheep Champion, and a goat show. Also, there will be a Horse and Pony Drill Team in the Horse Arena, followed by a halter show at 7 pm.
Tuesday, July 24 will feature the beef show and evening selection of the Beef Grand Prairie Champion. There will also be a poultry show, and horse and pony classes.
July 25 will feature a swine show and the evening selection of the Swine Grand Champion. It is also Western Day for the horses and ponies, and there will be a Drill Team in the evening at 6 pm.
Thursday the 26th will be dairy judging, as well as a meats event, llama show, and the annual Supreme Showmanship Contest.
On July 27th, there will be a livestock auction at 1 pm. Registration for the auction is due by Tuesday at 5 pm.
