Inspection Services
Level One Inspection

A level one inspection is a free preliminary road test and includes the following: 

  • Preliminary Road Test to confirm correct operation of transmission or other driveline component in question
  • Check fluid level and condition if applicable
  • Visual lift inspection for any leak(s)
  • Retrieve generic trouble codes on 1996 and up applications
  • Recommendations of further inspections, testing and/or additional service(s)
  • After the preliminary road test has been performed you will be notified if further inspection or testing is needed.  You will then be informed if a level two or three inspection is recommended.
 
   
 

Level Two Inspection
A level two inspection includes the following: 

  • Extended road test(s)
  • Retrieving trouble codes for pre-1996 applications and more defined code description on 1996-up applications
  • Application of diagnostic equipment that includes retrieving codes and interpreting information from the scanning equipment
  • Equipment that may be used is:
    MT2500 Scanner, OTC Genisys SPX, EASE Software, IDS Factory Software, Tech II Factory Scanner, VAG Factory Software
  • Information printouts of any kind
  • Perform vibration or noise check on lift
  • Apply sound detection device to verify the origination of the noise
  • Researching available online references for related symptom(s), complaint(s), and/or repair(s)
  • Recommendations of further inspections, testing and/or additional service(s)  

Level Three Inspection
A level three inspection includes the following: 

  • Application of further diagnosing equipment
  • Equipment that may be used is:
    Trans X 2000, Vantage MT2400, hydraulic gauges, and/or equipment stated above in a level two inspection
  • Performing a test procedure from technical references as needed
  • Electrical inspection and/or testing of related problem circuits including computers, sensors, solenoids, and/or wires as needed.
